Fear is stronger than greed, and certainly reason and logic.
The only way a positive ctix piece could produce the same change as the hit piece would be if the positive article included lies. Like if it was a pump piece that claimed K was awarded breakthrough and people just bought without verifying. So basically like the Mako article but the opposite.
