Sure has! I imagine that even if there is no formal relationship, birds of a feather tend to flock together.

Here is how I see it. The general market is in the process of being hammered. CTIX was hit prior to the market (Mako) so it is much safer here than the rest of the market $CTIX has bottomed while TSLA for example has just began to decline.
