I have been raising hell about my opinion on the slides there is no way in hell for them to ever be 100%, there is no way to test, it's not like testing a switch, you have to go through the full motion of deployment and then you are right back to square one (Will it work or not)
I Seriously think if this holds us back that would make for some good 60 minutes news and ground every damn plane just for that reason and make them come up with a less practical solution but it be 100% and be able to test.
If we could have tested the slides before hand we would not be discussing this today Baltia would already be in operation.
I would like a shot at the FAA on this subject
