As someone posted, I forget who now, that once the slides are packed the only way to see if they work is deploying them. Then, after deployed and repacked, the only way to see if they work they need to be deployed.
IMO, I would think that if there is a malfunction of equipment on an evac, they should still go through with the demonstration and see if they can get everyone out in the required time limit. Then afterwards, show documentation that everything was fixed. The point being that you need to rely on your personnel to get everyone out safe despite what is working or not. The best way to have that is to test how personnel react to malfunctions and how well they can keep to the time to get everyone out.
Still in as well, still believe management can get this to certification IMO. Really wish I could attend shareholders meeting but cannot.
