The chorus of "reverse split now" garbage tells us all we need to know. If THEY want a reverse split, it is only because it will harm the company.
All you have to do is look at AVXL -- their reverse split and a LOT of pumping got the stock over 14 -- now it's well under 6, in a very short period of time.
I think it's easier to short a higher-priced stock (in other words, a reverse split would enable shorting) depending on your broker. Some won't let you short a stock that's under 5.
