Thanks for your email about your PS4.
Unfortunately the PS4 is currently only available in these resolutions 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. 4K is not yet available on the PS4.

I think this guy is misinformed . Sadly, the person working at the customer service level is often unequipped to properly answer questions when dealing with massive global corporations. They're just trying to close their ticket queue.
