I think Boeing only makes the -800 now, I could be wrong about that.
In a subsequent report released in 2000, the NTSB found that in seven out of 19 evacuations it studied — or 37 percent of the time — at least one slide failed to work correctly.
That was from after a 2013 news report and there was an AD on the 777 after, I wonder if that is why there are so few SDR's on the 777 now. Maybe a new SDR and time to replace all slides, yeah its expensive but that might be what is best.
