From what I read today, on these -200s, buying a new one may not be an option. There was writing about how the -400s are having a hard time finding spare parts and replacements for the slides because of the age of the aircraft. I guess after 15 yrs the inspection cycle goes from every 3 years to annually. upping the cost to keep the slide but cheaper than having a new one fabricated.
