Maybe I don't understand everything with the court and how long it takes.
But a default hearing is on who's request? The court, the plaintiff, or the defendant?
If a default hearing is to proceed in the near future, why would CRGP show up to that one when they didn't show up in the first place?
You say "Typical responses are mistake, new evidence, fraud, etc. ", but why not just file an extension request?
These are just questions that are running through my head. If I was a judge I would ask "Why didn't you file an extension? Your TA filed one, why didn't you ask your lawyer to do that?"
I don't know..... as I said. Perplexing....
