apple has cash (a war-chest ). loyal customers. brand. ecosystem of products/content
initially 4k threatens business expansion (helping others get a foothold into music/movies/apps. obliquely through tv-market. and sell-through prod-expansion ), about as much as 4k-tv helps expand their brand
tvs are a big market. under flux. with expansive future-implications. initially seems counter-intuitive. they should lead (for all those reasons ). but the risk/reward ?
this new "tv entertainment/movie dist business". its setting up to be immensely disruptive. in every way. apple's wise to give pause
like i said. they've the cash to get "caught up". why "test market" for others ? let them deplete cash. build a way forward. apple can buy up what they need (including ultraflix ). apple has welcomed ntek in the fold. with ultraflix on their 5k product
