You have done an excellent job of summing up why many are frustrated, myself included. I did not flip for pennies. I built a position over a year and a half and never sold a share. Was that a mistake? Sure feels like one right now. I have lost trust in Gerald for the reasons you posted. I'm down so far now I am not going to sell at this point in hopes that Gerald can make good on his promises and somehow regain trust. IMO it is rediculous for Gerald to blame shareholders for the share price. It has only alienated many. His timing of that was terrible as well. He tweeted that right before the vote.
