CEO comments on Facebook July 22 in response to a question regarding the launch of Giant Size Line (GSL) ad supported, revenue earning comics in November that will be distributed in Toys R Us merchandising bags and via Diamond Comics outlets:
"The number between TRU and Diamond will fluctuate slightly as TRU gets their needs met first. Nov - Dec they have higher needs than Jan for instance. As far as printing capacity, I answered elsewhere this is not a concern. And the costs in Canada are not too much more. I think the cost difference is only 3-4 cents. The bagging is currently the final component being dealt with. TRU changed their bags, and the ones they use in their stores are too thin to accommodate automated insertion of a comic. So we are building them a new bag that is thicker but will still work on their in-store hooks. Interesting things like our inability to supply gussets and other challenges are being worked out with literally 12 different people right now... but both sides are confident a solution will be met in the next couple weeks and are not concerned. Still, it is fun to see things all coming together."
Finally looking good for a successful launch this time around in my view.
