Well thats what my brokerage told me that if i have a cash account they do not short my shares its part of their rules, now if other shenanigans occure thats out of my control. If you are a day trader with 25k plus your shares can be shorted is the info I was given. Maybe other brokers dont have the same rules, but again that is what I was told via scottrade but i will double check with your added info. GO NTEK!!!!
