Don't mean to burst your bubble but you think your shares are safe.
The only way anyone can be certain is to have their shares in certificate form. Brokerage firms have been known to change accounts from cash accounts to margin accounts without the owners permission. In addition, many folks have found they have markers rather than shares that their brokerage firm put in their accounts when there was a failure of good delivery rather than buying in those shares. The system is rigged and the regulators not only know it but are allowing it to get worse. Patrick Byrne of Overstock (OSTK) is taking Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch to court and wants a jury trial. That trial will expose the fraud and corruption in our markets for the world to see. Hopefully the public outrage wlll be so embarrassing to both the politicians and the regulators that it will cause real change. Europe has eliminated naked shorting and America should as well. Go NTEK!!!
