They do no such thing. PP's statement indicts pyrolysis as a whole, not just PTOI, with inflated assumptions and a blind eye towards the very real possibility that a processor operated by a producer of plastic waste could be very, very profitable indeed.

The company gets no accolades from me for its financial statements (or lack thereof) - but it would never occur to me (with a straight face) to argue that the money spent to develop the technology to date, divided by the number of gallons produced, is proof that pyrolysis doesn't work, or can't be profitable. I'm a little surprised that you would - but you're free to do so if you want.
