Hmmm kind of reminds me of a book we had to read in grade School. I forgot the title but this child wishes for Christmas everyday and he gets it. Well after a while that gets old and people tire from it this goes on until next Christmas. Finally a year later Christmas comes and there are no gifts filling up the house and everyone is relieved and happy!
