I'm certain that statement was fed to the author directly from Mr. Bordynuik. Mr. Bordynuik did the same thing with the, "...is filing patents." press release a few years ago. What it comes down to is that Mr. Bordynuik is a prolific liar. It doesn't matter if he's a liar, though, he sold stock to the Faithful and Patient so now the Faithful and Patient have a vested interest in defending his honor no matter how dishonest he is.
