On a happier note.....while we wait....the permanent netting for the pond arrived yesterday. The temporary net has kept the Heron away.....probably best for both of us (I and the Heron).....at least the outcome isn't such an unpleasant one for either.
And.........the trucks have stopped running. Over 100 dump trucks with fill and topsoil are done - we have just some raking out and preparation of the soil (this weekend) and to fix the damaged sprinkler system (today and tomorrow) and the cut underground cablevision line (happening right now) and then we shoot the seed on Monday.
BTW..........today is 9/11. 13 years ago today. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing at this time.
