maybe when she saw the road they had already had the logs under water and were still waiting on the final permit to pull them out? So that's why it could have appeared abandoned because the logs were under water and they couldn't do any more work up until that point? Idk, I hope that theory is right. I too am getting tired of this, but a part of me still really believes in this. It's just really, really frustrating. But it does test my patience..
