A few years back my Dove asked me to write her a romantic poem for her birthday. Well, I'm no more romantic than the average possum so writing a romantic poem was out of the question. We do have three very talented cats with Pickett, our tabby, having a flare for poetry. He with the help of his two brothers, Koba and Sherman, have written quite a few poems over the years that the Dove keeps in her "Pickett Collection". Here is the latest and the one she will wake up to Thursday morning, her birthday.

A Poem for Mom

We love our Mom so very much

She's quite the groovy chick

She's nothing like our mean old Dad

Who's somewhat of a hick.

She feeds us every day with care

She pats our butts

She combs our hair

She makes sure our water is freah as can be

She cleans out the box in which we pee.

She gives us a lap so cuddly and warm

With her around we can face any storm

Her touch is so special, precious, and sweet

Being her cat is really a treat

Happy Birthday Mom, We Love You
