I like your line of thinking even if those two companies don't fit. I still think a plan to spinoff might be the reason for the increase. Real evidence that a spinoff is coming might not materialize right away, however, and could hurt the pps in the short term. It will be interesting to see how (and when) GC addresses this tomorrow.
