On July 9th Gerald blogged about what was going to be presented in Copenhagen because he said he was getting a lot of questions about it. In the blog, item #2 he speaks of the "Analytical Performance" data performed by BD in 2013 and 214. He said this would be presented in poster 2. This is the problem. From this exact communication, most of us thought we would be getting the large test of 160 people containing the "sensitivity" and "specificity" data. He himself called this the "analytical performance" data! Apparently, he uses names of tests interchangeably with each other in such a way that it is impossible for normal people to keep track of what he is talking about! I don't understand why he is making this so confusing? GERALD, for heaven's sake, call the test one thing and don't call it anything else!!!!! On Monday night every single one of us on the mbs were excited and expecting on Tuesday to get the BD "analytical performance" data, (ie, most recent "sensitivity" & "specificity" data) and then when we didn't get it - KABOOM - everything fell apart! Your own terminology in your July 9th blog created this expectation!! Gerald, 3 things are important: 1) Science, 2) Financing, & 3) Communication. AMBS has always done great with their science. Since they teamed up with LPC, their financing has greatly improved. But, their communication.....SUCKS!!! It consistently has!! Today's blog is an opportunity to change that.
