In the last oil bust in the 80s in Okla my brother aquired a 100 acre housing development if 5 acre plots with water and electric installed because the fdic elt they did not need to pay property taxes in Okla.  He now has clear deed all costs coming to about 6k.  Ps  I was the one who told him about it initially.
