Yes, I have watched several times when the sec calls into play heavy volume with no press release in place, and said company must publicly respond to the sec action. Something was put in play, IMO. Something positive, I think. On the flip side, bcrap's blog entry sounds as though they are still waiting to be comp'd, so I am unsure of any tie-in. Just reading the tea leaves. I don't know.
