Dr. Sebastian Faro will be presenting on the NanoLogix N-Assay Multiwell Microplate Assay during the BioOhio BioScience Expo and Showcase to be held in Aurora, Ohio on August 5th at the Bertram Conference Center. Topics to be covered include the N-Assay's enhanced sensitivity and speed advantages over existing commercial tests for Group B Streptococcus (GBS), Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE), and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the projected benefits to newborns and their mothers, other patients and health care providers, and the potential market in the USA and abroad.
Dr. Faro will host two 1-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Sebastian Faro, M.D, Ph.D. Dr. Faro brings over fifty years of medical experience and an extensive body of knowledge concerning obstetrics, gynecology, and infectious diseases to the NanoLogix Science Advisory Board. Dr. Faro is currently affiliated with The Woman's Hospital of Houston. Dr. Faro previously served as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at LBJ Hospital in Houston, Texas and was Vice-Chair of the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences Department at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Faro received his PhD in botany at the University of Iowa and completed his postdoctoral fellowship training at the New York Botanical Garden. He then completed medical school and residency training at Creighton University. He served as director of infectious disease at both Louisiana State University and the Baylor College of Medicine, and as Department Chair for the University of Kansas and Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center.
Dr. Faro is not only a member of a number of professional societies, but also currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Infectious Disease Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has published at least 149 articles in peer-reviewed medical publications and served as Editor-in-Chief of Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 13 years. He is also an Editor of the current editions of the following textbooks: Infectious Diseases in Women; Benign Diseases of the Vulva and Vagina; and Infections in Pregnancy.
