For me, it was the first time I had ever received dividends so I had to do some calling. Turns out I didn't need to do anything, my dividend went directly into my brokerage account. Then I used that to buy more shares. I know some people did get a letter about the dividend, but I never got anything like that. The money just magically appeared in my account like a present.
