Marge and John had finally retired and sold their home in Minnesota and moved to the warmth of Tucson.
After they had gotten familiar with their new place, John went shopping, by himself, for the one thing he had always wanted… cowboy boots. Since he had been a boy, that’s what he had really wanted.
He came home, successful, and stood by the kitchen sink.
Marge heard him come in and looked up from her crossword.
‘Marge’ he said ‘How do I look?’
‘John, you look the same as yesterday, and probably just like you will look tomorrow’
Thoroughly pissed off, John stormed out of the kitchen.
When he came back, he was naked, except for his new cowboy boots and posed against the sink once more.
“How do I look now Marge?’, he asked.
“Well John, it’s hang’in down, just like yesterday and probably tomorrow.’
“Marge’, he said… ‘Do you know why it’s hang’in down?’
“No John, why?’
‘It’s look’in at my new boots!!!!!!’
Marge said…’Shoulda bought a hat John, shoulda bought a hat…’
