This could possibly be the dumbest criminal ever!
While criminals are seldom seen as the sharpest tools in the shed, few reach the level of dullness a burglar in Minnesota achieved.
According to the local ABC affiliate, James Wood returned home to find his place ransacked and a few personal items stolen. Upon further inspection, he also noticed someone had logged into Facebook on his computer under the name Nicholas Wig.
And never signed out.
WPVI reported that police say that in the course of the burglary, Wig stopped to check his Facebook account and forgot to log out.
But it get’s better.
Wood decided to leave his phone number and a message on Wig’s Facebook page.
“I replied, ‘You left a few things at my house last night how can I get them back to you,’” he told WPVI.
Lo and behold, Wig showed up shortly thereafter to claim his “things,” only to find the police lying in wait.
You can’t make these stories up!
