I had that experience after a simple gall bladder removal turned from a hour procedure to a full fledged 8hour surgery. I don't remember it but my wife tells me that some of the names I called my nurse are not even in my vocabulary and I have a pretty sorted potty mouth but I never use the "C" word...except for that day I guess. To make a small story short I apologized to that nurse the following day and she said no apology necessary but she never spoke a word to me for the next 6 days of my stay in the hospital, not even a please lift your head so I can change your pillow case...more of a rip it out from under my head and just threw it back on my face. I suppose I deserved it so from there on out I apologize in advance if I'm to be put under.
