I don't know what to think of Mr. Heddle either. He could have been duped into a joint venture for "P2O Marine" just like all the other joint venture partners, some which are suing JBI now. But at least he would have known that P2O Marine didn't pan out and that should have made him suspicious that Mr. Bordynuik was full of hot air.
If he really did put in that $3M and if it came out of his own pocket, he must have realized that if P2O didn't pan out, the collateral securing his investment would be virtually worthless as well. He must have believed in Mr. Bordynuik.
I get the impression that Mr. Heddle just isn't a very bright man when it comes to making investments or maybe he's just too trusting. However not communicating the plant breakage for six months really starts to put him in a bad light.
