How do you know for sure that " those criminals who are working to line their own pockets at the expense of the shareholders" aren't closely tied to the business you have invested in?

If the business goes under because a commercially viable system could never be realized, will you just throw up your hands and say "Good try!"?

Given the assurances of management in the past, I don't think that is the appropriate response.
