The Mineral Park mine that is about 2 miles east of the Chloride has had its troubles and the $1M+ fine the BLM slapped on them for operating without required permits really hurt.
With Mercator in trouble investors might be discouraged from investing in the Chloride mine- though the really low price for moly and that large fine for operating without permits are the apparent main sources of the Mineral Parks mines troubles.
