So at first I was a little concerned about the length of time this heavy check is taking for certification of N706BL. . . So I did some research and found a standard heavy check such as this requires approximately 50,000 man hours. So if we put that into perspective with a crew of 125 people working on our plane @ average 40 hours per week, the check should last approximately 10 weeks. So if our baby went into the hangar the first week in April according to our past posts, that wouldn't put completion until the second week in June.

With that being said, I have no clue how many people are working on Baltia's bird but I'm not so concerned about the amount of time it's taking to complete anymore. Even with 500 people working on that single plane, it still would have taken 2.5 weeks and I'd imagine that many wrenches at one time would just cause problems. That's my two cents. I'm still holding this cock until it rises or I die, we will see which happens first. . .
