I believe you to be accurate. My research leads me to believe the US carriers follow a similar phased inspection process as military aircraft. The phased inspections are triggered by flight hours and or time. Military aircraft undergoing a C or D inspection take only a few weeks unless there is an issue with the power plant or waiting on a replacement part. In my opinion, if/when orvie reports that the engines are being mounted, we will be near completion. Anyone trying to convince us the worst case scenario is the "scrapping" of 706 does not know what he/she is talking about. Worst case is an extra week or two.
