Delta, understand this - as they move through the training, they discover errors in the manuals.
As they use the manuals, they discover practical ways of doing things better.
The manuals will ALWAYS be in a state of flux - to meet and stay up with the changing times.
Delaying the final portion of the pilot training - the simulators - does not alter the schedule of events in the least.
Yes - it would have been nice if the pilots had gone through the simulator 4 to 6 weeks earlier than they had to - BECAUSE WE WOULD HAVE SEEN A PR THAT WOULD HAVE RAISED THE PPS - but in reality, that is the only thing that we would have gotten out of it.
