In my opinion, this doesn't make much sense.  It has been said many times, that the whales and other major players hold the majority of the shares.  Who are these people trying to scare into selling by dumping their own shares?  A few small time retail holders?  

This sounds more like they are just liquidating their position.  Everyone that places their bids at .01 is helping them do that.  Again, just my opinion.
