FOOD FOR THOUGHT - The letter that LT has referred to was a simple reply to Baltia, acknowledging  that the feds had received Baltia's formal submission, and that they will reply within 30 days.  The reply may be relevant to the subject matter, but not necessarily the definitive answer folks here are wanting.

More importantly, their casual estimate to reply in 30 days is fairly standard -  that being said, it may well have failed to consider that the second half of August is typically holiday time for many feds and little gets done.

Why bring this up? Because I hate to see too many people hang their expectations on common verbiage used by the FAA that is typically a rough estimate with loose ends.  Those of us who have worked with the FAA for years, have learned not to take specifics in this kind of correspondence too literally - and that is probably why Baltia has not made any statements about it - they know it is merely a polite response to their submission.
