The Tuscaloosa sand has produced billions of bbls for decades now. The TMS is located between the upper and lower Tuscaloosa sands and was found back in the 60's. The geologist from LSU said back then that there were 6 billion of recoverable oil in the shale but that technology had not gotten to the point to recover the oil yet. Now with newer technology they are going after this large shale. This thing takes up most of south Louisiana and some parts of south Mississippi. This will be an economic BOOM for Southwest Mississippi and South Louisiana.
