During the AGM, Anne Stevens, the Vice President of Business Development at AbCellera, was elected as the new Chair of the Board. Ali Ardakani, the Founder and Managing Director of Novateur Ventures Inc., transitioned to the role of Past Chair after successfully leading the board for the last two years. Rajveer Hundal, a Partner at PwC Canada, was re-elected to continue serving as the Treasurer.

Wendy Hurlburt, President & CEO of LSBC, expressed deep gratitude towards Ali Ardakani for his exceptional leadership during his tenure as Board Chair. "Ali Ardakani has been a phenomenal leader for LSBC during his term as Board Chair over the past two years. I would like to thank him for everything he has done not only for LSBC but for the entire sector,” stated Hurlburt. As a result, Ali will now focus his efforts as Past Chair, giving a warm welcome to Anne Stevens as the new Chair.
New Appointments to the Board
In an exciting development, LSBC welcomed Sherry Aulin, CFO of Xenon Pharmaceuticals, and Tom Frohlich, Former COO of Chinook Therapeutics, as new Board Directors. Both were elected for three-year terms, bringing their expertise to support LSBC's mission.
