Keeper Security Expands Leadership for Enhanced Cybersecurity

New leadership appointments align federal strategy and execution to support Keeper's efforts to secure credentials, access, and mission-critical systems.

CHICAGO – Keeper Security, a prominent provider of zero-trust and zero-knowledge Privileged Access Management (PAM) software, has made strategic additions to its federal branches by appointing Shannon Vaughn as Senior Vice President of Federal and Benjamin Parrish as Vice President of Federal Operations. These moves are crucial in fortifying Keeper's commitment to securing access and protecting sensitive systems in the face of growing cyber threats.

Shannon Vaughn brings over 20 years of multifaceted experience in both the private and public sectors, dedicating his career to securing sensitive information and modernizing technology for federal clients. Before joining Keeper Security, he served as General Manager at Virtru Federal, where he successfully guided business development and operations. With multiple senior leadership roles under his belt, including Vice President of Technology and Chief Product Owner, Vaughn has extensive experience collaborating with numerous U.S. government customers to provide secure, innovative solutions.

Darren Guccione, CEO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating, "Federal agencies are operating in an elevated environment with unprecedented cyber risk. Next-generation privileged access management to enforce zero-trust security is essential. Shannon and Ben bring a unique combination of operational military experience, federal technology leadership, and a deep understanding of zero-trust security. They know how agencies operate, how threats evolve and how to translate modern security architecture into real mission outcomes. These exceptional additions to our team will be instrumental as we expand Keeper's role in securing the federal government's most critical systems, personnel, and warfighters."

Vaughn is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. He contributes to the Foreign Policy Research Institute as a Non-Resident Fellow, analyzing future technology threats and near-peer adversaries. He holds a graduate degree from Georgetown University and undergraduate degrees from both the University of North Georgia and the Department of Defense Language Institute.

In tandem, Parrish oversees Keeper's federal initiatives, ensuring delivery and operational readiness across the board. With a strong background in leading federal operations and secure deployments in heavily regulated environments, Parrish has held various senior roles serving federal customers. His experience encompasses software engineering, cross-functional team leadership, and ensuring platform reliability across large-scale projects.

A retired officer from the U.S. Army, Parrish has served over 20 years, gaining firsthand experience with Field Artillery, Aviation, and Cyber operations, including a combat deployment in Iraq. He has taken part in key missions for numerous departments, such as the Joint Special Operations Command and the National Reconnaissance Office. Parrish earned his graduate degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and his undergraduate degree from James Madison University.

Parrish's focus at Keeper involves aligning product, engineering, security, and customer success teams, liaising closely with government stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant deployments that meet rigorous federal mission standards.

Addressing the modernization pressure federal agencies face, Vaughn remarked, "I joined Keeper because we are focused on what actually produces tangible cyber benefits: controlling who has access to what, with full auditing and reporting – whether for credentials, endpoint or access management. We are going to win by being obsessive about access control that is easy to deploy and hard to break."

These leadership updates come at a time when federal agencies are rapidly adopting zero-trust frameworks, enhancing privileged access controls to counteract credential-based attacks. The FedRAMP Authorized, FIPS 140-3 validated Keeper Security Government Cloud platform is specifically engineered to secure privileged access across hybrid and cloud environments, aiding government agencies in managing critical system access.
