Innovative Gold Recovery Techniques Unveiled at North Bay's Mill
Groundbreaking Developments at Bishop Gold Mill
BISHOP, Calif. — North Bay Resources Inc. (the “Company” or “North Bay”) (OTC: NBRI) has made significant strides in gold processing operations at its Bishop Gold Mill. The Company recently acquired and installed state-of-the-art gravity separation and gold recovery equipment, allowing them to effectively process ore from the Fran Gold Project.
New Equipment Implementation
The introduction of advanced technology for gold extraction has yielded promising results. Microscopic examinations of the concentrate reveal a substantial recovery of gold, underscoring the effectiveness of the new systems.
As part of the operation, the concentrate is derived using centrifugal gravity recovery in a Knudsen Bowl, which enables precise separation. Additionally, a Gemini Table is being introduced to enhance the upgrading of gravity concentrates. This strategic move signifies a shift towards primarily utilizing gravity operations while incorporating scavenger recovery through flotation methods. The commissioning phase of the flotation circuit is currently ongoing, supported by the arrival of essential reagents, with one final reagent expected shortly.
Insights from Recent Metallurgical Studies
Metallurgical recovery studies from the Fran Gold Project have shown remarkable results, achieving over 97% recovery rates through a combination of gravity and flotation techniques. The head grade, initially reported at 0.91 ounces per ton of gold, has significantly increased, upgraded by gravity to reach 8.54 ounces per ton. Following the flotation process, this total concentrate has soared to 11.23 ounces per ton, reflecting a twelvefold concentration ratio. These findings highlight not only the efficacy of the new equipment but also the overall potential of the project.
Overview of the Fran Gold Project
The Fran Gold Project spans a vast area of 34,360 acres, located conveniently near a major copper and gold mine. To date, over 50,000 feet of diamond drilling have been executed across 104 holes in the Bullion Alley Zone. This extensive exploration has led to the identification of a gold deposit stretching 3,700 feet in length, with widths reaching up to 120 feet and depths exceeding 700 feet.
Within this deposit, multiple parallel gold veins have been delineated, with grades reaching up to 2.6 troy ounces of gold per ton. Furthermore, substantial areas of low to mid-grade gold are also present, both in veins and distributed throughout the deposit. Noteworthy surface trenching has unveiled a near-surface sub-zone that enhances accessibility to these gold-bearing veins. Also significant are the assay results showing assays of up to 1.68% copper and 5.1 troy ounces per ton silver, indicating intriguing prospects for additional discoveries across the property.
Commitment to Sustainable Practices
North Bay Resources is dedicated to utilizing environmentally responsible mining techniques. The Company is not only focused on maximizing recoveries but also on maintaining sustainable operations that help protect the surrounding ecosystem. This commitment is reflected in their operational practices and ongoing investments in technology.
Future Outlook
The outlook for North Bay Resources is resolutely positive, as they continue to explore and develop the potential of the Fran Gold Project. With approximately 5,000 tons of surface material available for shipment, they are well-positioned to capitalize on the favorable conditions in the gold market. The strategic enhancements made to their processing capabilities at Bishop Gold Mill are expected to significantly improve their operational efficiency and profitability moving forward.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of North Bay Resources Inc., we extend our gratitude to our stakeholders for their continued support.
