Evergold Corp. Unveils Exciting New Drilling Initiatives
Evergold Begins Follow-up Drilling at DEM Project
TORONTO — Evergold Corp. (TSX-V: EVER, WKN: A2PTHZ) is thrilled to share that it has commenced drilling at the highly anticipated DEM prospect in Central B.C. This initiative comes as a follow-up to last season's successful exploration, which revealed significant deposits of precious metals such as gold and silver, as well as strategic metals including cobalt, molybdenum, copper, tungsten, tellurium, and rhenium.
Details of the Drilling Program
The current drilling program will focus on up to 1,000 metres of drilling across multiple holes, strategically targeting a prominent north-south geochemical and geophysical trend. This trend is part of a much larger area that covers 4 km2 of geophysical and geochemical anomalies associated with the DEM project, with an expected completion date in the coming month.
Building on Previous Success
The new drilling will build upon the promising results from the reconnaissance drilling conducted last fall. Previous efforts involved 947 metres drilled across three holes, which suggested a north-south oriented, structurally-focused, epithermal-style mineralization system, highlighting an envelope of low-grade mineralization enriched with high-grade intervals of significant metals. The recent geophysical surveys have provided even more refined targets, generating substantial excitement for this year's drilling campaign.
Unique Geological Features
One of the most intriguing features of the DEM project is a large, sub-circular magnetic anomaly reminiscent of a doughnut shape. This magnetic response extends well beyond the targeted core area, indicating the possibility of a deeper, larger intrusion beneath the surface. Previous drilling in the area discovered a porphyritic dyke, mineralized with exceptionally high-grade molybdenum, as well as valuable quantities of gold, silver, and rhenium.
Targeting New Anomalies
Kevin Keough, President and CEO of Evergold, expressed enthusiasm about the new drilling targets. The Company will focus on two newly defined high-order anomalies, named Features “A” and “B,” which have been identified through selective geophysical methods. These anomalies suggest that previous drilling efforts may have narrowly missed encountering high-grade mineralization.
Understanding the DEM Property
The DEM property spans an impressive 12,728 hectares and offers excellent accessibility due to its location in moderate terrain, approximately 40 kilometres northwest of Fort St. James. This area is recognized for hosting significant deposits and long-established mines, such as the famous Mount Milligan mine. The combination of extensive logging and the presence of forest service roads enables easy access to the DEM project site for further exploration.
Exploration Merits of the DEM Project
Central to the DEM project is the DEM1 prospect, depicting a target area suggestive of a porphyry system. The presence of high-relief magnetic anomalies combined with a multi-element soil geochemical signature supports the exploration potential of this site. The previous reconnaissance drilling undertaken at DEM demonstrated promising intercepts of high-grade precious and strategic metals within a broad low-grade envelope, showcasing the project’s significant exploration merits. Additional insights regarding the DEM project can be found on the Company's official website.
