This board is the home of the Low Float Report and is designed for OTC and Pink Sheet low float stocks (defined below). This board focuses on what we consider penny stocks under $1. Detailed reports are appreciated when alerting a stock including share structure information. Do not just post a symbol with no additional information as your post will be removed by the board moderators.
A stocks float is calculated by subtracting closely-held shares and restricted stock from a firm’s total outstanding shares. Closely-held shares are those owned by insiders, major shareholders and employees, while restricted stock refers to insider shares that cannot be traded because of a temporary restriction such as the lock-up period after an initial public offering. A stock with a small float will generally be more volatile than a stock with a large float, apart from having limited liquidity and wider bid-ask spread.
My ALERTS (editions of The Low Float Report) are based on stocks that show an acceleration of price or volume or are showing signs of reversing based on their chart. These stocks may not be suitable for all investors.
Due to the increased volatility and high-risk exposure when trading penny stocks, it is possible to lose your entire investment. Also, these investments are based off share structure so many companies may be active, dark, or in a shell status.
Taking profits, due diligence and preservation of your initial investment is key and must be taken into consideration.
Personal attacks on other members will not be tolerated. You may argue openly but do so in a civilized manner.
