Digital Utilities Ventures has targeted the medical and recreational segments of the marijuana market. Our core product line is CBD and its medical derivatives and line extensions. CBD (Cannabidiol) – is a cannabis non-hallucinatory compound that has significant medical benefits for the treatment of a wide range of conditions such arthritis, diabetes, alcoholism, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, depression, antibiotic-resistant infections, epilepsy, opioids and other neurological disorders.
Digital Utilities Ventures, Inc. is poised to become an industry innovator by developing an end-to-end supply chain approach to the legal cannabis and hemp markets. The Company’s strategy is to develop through acquisitions and business development a vertically integrated business model that covers the entire spectrum of the CBD business from cultivation, through production, quality control and finally to distribution through dispensaries.
Maurice Stone, CEO
Maurice Stone is a senior management executive with over 35 years of extensive entrepreneurial and business management experience. He is skilled in forming and creating new businesses and new business market strategies. He maintains an excellent background in business planning, financial planning, market analysis, media presentation, and the activities needed in structuring and implementing a medium to large scale multi-site business. He has served as a principal and/or senior manager within private and publicly-traded enterprises. He sits on the Board of Directors of several companies. He is a knowledgeable and sought after motivational and inspirational speaker on economic development, community development, and other prominent socioeconomic issues. In addition, he, along with the companies he has represented, has received a number of awards for high achievement and excellence in business and innovation.
Mr. Stone has also been involved as an equity principal and/or agent in various business structure financing in the energy, healthcare, entertainment, food service, and real estate markets.
Business Experience:
Mr. Stone is a business consultant lending his experience and knowledge for companies seeking new and increase market funding in the public and private markets since 2012, through his company MoSteph Holdings LLC.. Mr. Stone was also an Executive in Residence for Griffin Moor International LLP, a financial and advisory group, providing his knowledge and experience to middle market companies from 2014-2016.
Since 2012, Mr. Stone has been Managing Partner of Brazil Property International LLC (BPI). BPI is a real estate developer, home builder, and financier in the Brazilian housing markets presently constructing over homes within the Country under the Minha Casa Minha Vida government sponsored initiative.
He was also President of iVoiceIdeas a social network of ideas that provides collaborative communities of groups and individual that give voice to sharing the best ideas, voting on interesting ideas, contributing to other’s ideas, and sharing those successful ideas with social and political leaders.
Mr. Stone served on the Board of Directors of the National Black Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC for 6 years and was the Chairman of its Energy Committee focused on obtaining Local, National, and International contracts for Chamber member companies. The Energy Committee’s purpose is to investigate energy-related topics and return summary issues and opportunities to the Chamber membership. In addition, the Committee can identify key issues and bring in appropriate expertise including consultants and vendors to assist member companies in their pursuit of contracts.

EvoCann Founders:
Keiji Varela – CEO/Founder , a Rhode Island native earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Temple University (Philadelphia) in Engineering and Business Administration. Following college Mr. Valera was sought after by the Chevron Corporation for engineering, Lean 6Sigma and operations & supply chain management.
After spending over 13 years climbing the ranks and several global assignments within Chevron’s Products Division, Mr. Varela decided to make a dramatic change and follow in the footsteps of his idols Nikolai Tesla and George Washington Carver who both developed life changing technologies and dedicated their lives to improving humanity with their discoveries.
Combining Mr. Varela’s passion and drive to educate the masses on a healthier way of living and healing, Mr. Varela joined up with a California based company Methodology Inc., that specializes in food as medicine. With a common mission to help people live a healthier lifestyle, Mr. Varela spent a year with the company to gain a stronger understanding of the nutritional impact of how clean food effects the body and living a healthier lifestyle yields a better quality of life. After struggling and surviving Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in his early 30’s, Mr. Varela was determined to help other’s that had chronic illness, a potential tragedy became a life calling.
During his time at Methodology, Mr. Varela for personal reasons decided to begin his own journey of cultivating ways to help the people closest to him that were struggling with their own health issues. Over years of hearing people’s personal health struggles Mr. Varela finally discovered his calling and made the leap to be fully committed to developing a holistic approach to treat various ailments that effect the mind and the internal body workings.
Through willing participants, years of research and with Mr. Varela’s Industrial Engineering & Chemistry background began creating an innovative Full Spectrum CBD product line that enhances the body’s cannabinoid receptors. CBD and other cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds that display potent anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. They can promote the body’s healthy regulation of the central nervous, immune, and endocannabinoid systems.
Mr. Varela’s unique approach maximizes the delivery of medical cannabis oil through various innovative techniques combined with using the highest quality ingredients. Coming recently from the food industry where the phrase “made with love”, our product line uses the phrase and mission is “made for the ones we love”.
On a personal note, when Mr. Varela is not the lab creating he enjoys hiking, spending time with his family,
Jamie Brown -COO/Co-Founder and Partner is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the company. Under this role Mr. Brown will be the driving force behind the operational strategy and the financial success of EvoCann.
Prior to joining EvoCann, Mr. Brown has spent the last decade working at the Harlem Medical Hospital in New York City where he held various executive and management positions overseeing specialty fields such as Neurology, Oncology, Lupus, Renal, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. Through his close interactions with chiefs of specialty services and patient advocating for the patient population this has been the driving force behind his passion to do clinical research and creating a more holistic approach to pain management and disease prevention.
From a tender age of ten, Mr. Brown’s personal experience with a family history of cancer and diabetes led him towards his calling in the healthcare industry and continues his focus towards creating more effective ways to help other families who are suffering from life impacting illnesses.
In Mr. Brown’s spare time when not crafting EvoCann’s next strategy, Mr. Brown spends his time working with non-profits and educating the younger generations on the importance of living a healthier lifestyle. Coming from Southern roots adopting a healthy eating life style was not a common practice and the education on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to prevent life threating diseases was not taught.
When Mr. Brown is not behind his desk crunching numbers and analyzing data, you will find him cooking up some comforting soul food surrounded by his friends and family enjoying good music and laughter.
