This district showcases both intermediate and low sulfidation epithermal silver and gold deposits, tied to the Oligocene and Miocene periods, with host rocks primarily related to the Tarahumara Formation.
In 2025, Vizsla Silver provided an updated mineral resource estimate for Panuco, indicating a combined in-situ measured and indicated mineral resource of 222.4 Moz AgEq and an inferred resource of 138.7 Moz AgEq.
