Vizsla Copper Expands Thira Discovery with New Soil Survey Data

Vizsla Copper Expands Thira Discovery with New Soil Survey Data

Significant Soil Survey Expands Discovery Area

Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV: VCU, OTCQB: VCUFF) recently announced the promising results from its soil geochemical survey at the Thira discovery on the Poplar project in central British Columbia. The company's efforts have expanded the detected mineralization significantly, presenting strong potential for future exploration.

Key Highlights from the Survey

The newly reported results showcase a broad multi-element soil anomaly that stretches over three kilometers to the east of the Thira copper-molybdenum discovery. This substantial anomaly coincides with geological formations and airborne geophysical targets, emphasizing the area's promising mineralization potential.

Moreover, the induced polarization (IP) geophysical surveying over the area has been completed. The processing and modeling of this data are currently in progress, which will aid in identifying high-priority drilling targets for future exploration.

Expanding the Target Footprint

Craig Parry, the Executive Chairman of Vizsla Copper, remarked on the significance of these findings: "These soil results have expanded the potential footprint of the Thira target area by 3 km. The expansion potential, combined with the current scale of the mineralization, and the established infrastructure in the area further supports that Thira is quickly becoming a significant discovery." This optimism underscores the forward momentum as the company gears up for the follow-up drilling.

The Soil Survey Details

The recently completed Phase 1 drill program at Thira included ten drill holes totaling over 4,500 meters, and every hole intersected substantial copper-molybdenum mineralization related to porphyry systems. Notable findings include 237.3 meters of copper equivalent grade from one of the drill holes, illustrating the robust mineralization present.

Additionally, an expanded soil survey has covered most of the remaining alteration corridor at Thira. This has confirmed that the previously identified multi-element soil anomaly continues for at least three kilometers to the east, where results are still pending. The main copper-in-soil anomaly now measures approximately 4,000 by 800 meters, with values reaching up to 1,200 ppm (0.12%) copper.

Next Steps in Exploration

As the company moves forward, the final soil geochemical results will be integrated with the outcomes of the recent IP survey to pinpoint new drill targets. Planning is already underway for the upcoming Phase 2 drilling program at Thira, promising to further unveil the area's potential.

Understanding the Poplar Project

The Poplar project, spanning 44,200 hectares, hosts a combination of Mesozoic aged volcanic, sedimentary, and intrusive rocks thought to be rich in porphyry-related copper and gold mineralization. Apart from the Thira target, it also features the Poplar deposit, which adds further value to the area’s mineral exploration potential. Vizsla Copper aims for a 100% ownership stake in the property through a series of commitments until 2027.

The Company’s Vision

Vizsla Copper operates with a focused strategy of responsible exploration and asset development. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the company strives to grow by enhancing their existing properties while adhering to environmentally responsible practices. Committed to social responsibility, Vizsla is positioned to thrive within British Columbia's stable mining environment.
