Completion of IP Survey at Sting Copper Project
Vital Battery Metals Inc. (“Vital” or the “Company”) (CSE: VBAM | OTC: VBAMF | FRA: C0O) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a detailed 13.5 line-kilometer induced polarization (IP) survey at its Sting Copper Project. This project is situated in an area known for its rich potential in copper and precious metal deposits. The results from the recent survey have revealed multiple significant chargeability anomalies, which will help identify prime targets for an upcoming drilling program that is set to begin soon.
Methodology and Results of the Survey
Conducted by Simcoe Geoscience Ltd., the survey employed advanced wireless Alpha IP technology to investigate key regions within the Jumbo-Red Lode claim block. The chosen sites for the survey included areas with known productive showings, drawing on notable findings from previous assessments that indicated promising copper and gold mineralization.
This innovative technology has enabled exploration to reach depths of between 250 and 450 meters, surpassing the capabilities of traditional methods that typically only reach around 75 meters. This deeper exploration reveals more substantial geological features. The correlation between elevated chargeability and low resistivity values often points to the presence of significant mineral deposits in volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) environments.
Key Survey Highlights
The survey concentrated on two main grids: the Jumbo-Red Lode Grid and the Lode No 9 Grid.
Jumbo-Red Lode Grid Findings
This part of the survey spanned 9.0 line-kilometers across 7 lines and uncovered a major chargeability anomaly associated with the Jumbo showing, which boasts a notable strike length of over 300 meters. This particular finding has never been drilled before, presenting an exciting opportunity for targeted drilling in the upcoming program. Furthermore, preliminary modeling suggests that this anomaly may extend into areas linked with the Red Lode, bolstered by historical samples indicating the potential for high-grade gold.
Lode No 9 Grid Insights
The survey also covered 4.5 line-kilometers across 5 lines in this grid, where chargeability anomalies were detected near the Gregory River and close to the Friar Tuck showing. These findings imply a potential continuity of rich copper mineralization, enhancing the prospects for valuable drill targets in these locations as well.
Next Steps in Exploration
Vital Battery Metals is currently analyzing soil, grab, and channel samples that have been sent to SGS Canada for evaluation. The results from this analysis will be pivotal in refining the geological model in preparation for Phase 2 of the drilling program. The Company expects to have the complete results available soon, which will provide further insights into the mineral potential of the Sting Copper Project.
Adrian Lamoureux, Chief Executive Officer of Vital, expressed his enthusiasm about the findings, suggesting that the identified anomalies could indicate substantial VMS mineralization across the claim block. He eagerly anticipates testing these target areas once drilling begins.
Funding and Support for Exploration Activities
Vital Battery Metals is thankful for the financial support of approximately $95,691.86 from the 2024 Newfoundland and Labrador Junior Exploration Assistance (JEA) program, which contributes to the Company’s ongoing exploration efforts. This initiative is part of a broader budget allocation aimed at enhancing mineral exploration activities within the province.
