Waikiki Dream Come True for Syracuse Tween
Recently, teams from Wawasee Middle School, BW/Cook Service Experts, and Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana united to celebrate a heartwarming moment for Anna, a 12-year-old girl from Kosciusko County. Anna, who has a respiratory condition, has always dreamed of visiting Hawaii. Thanks to the generous support from Service Experts, her dream will become a reality next month, just in time for her 13th birthday.
Anna's Thrill for Adventure
Anna's parents revealed that her passion for Hawaii has been a long-held dream. She is excited about immersing herself in the island's vibrant culture, exploring a pineapple farm, visiting the Pearl Harbor Museum, interacting with marine life, and even trying surfing. Described as imaginative and curious about nature, Anna loves swimming and making survival videos. She will be joined on this thrilling adventure by her five siblings, as well as her mom and stepdad.
Celebrating the Wish Reveal
The wish reveal at Wawasee Middle School turned into a lively celebration attended by over 600 students. The atmosphere buzzed with Hawaiian spirit, featuring leis, Hawaiian snacks, and fun activities, including limbo games. The school’s cheerleaders and their Warrior mascot joined in the festivities, along with around 20 supporters from Service Experts and Make-A-Wish. Additionally, Service Experts gifted Anna an underwater GoPro camera, waterproof speakers, and other exciting gear for her upcoming trip.
