The three composite samples each consisted of about 45 kg of material derived from drill core samples. These samples were meticulously selected from nearly 43 meters of continuous mineralization in drill holes CS24-018, 21, and 23, ensuring a thorough blending before testing.
Optimizing Processing Techniques
Using a calibrated approach, a portion of the blended material underwent further processing—crushed to specific sizes of -9.5 mm and -6.3 mm. Among these, the -6.3 mm fraction proved optimal, leading to effective separation results with lithium recovery ranging between 70% and 74%.
Next Steps in the Cisco Lithium Project
As Q2 Metals progresses, SGS will assess the necessity for magnetic separation of wall-rock materials and explore the inclusion of flotation circuits to maximize the recovery of fine materials. Additional HLS tests will reaffirm recovery rates across different regions of the Cisco mineralized zone.
