RIFM Announces New Leadership for 2025–2026
Building on a legacy of safety, the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, Inc. (RIFM) is proud to announce its newly elected 2025–2026 Board of Directors and Officers. This new leadership reflects RIFM's unwavering commitment to advancing the science of fragrance safety worldwide.
Welcoming New Chair and Board Members
RIFM warmly welcomes Ron Stark, President of Bell Flavors and Fragrances, Inc., as the newly appointed Chair of the Board of Directors. He takes over from Robert Weinstein, President and CEO of Robertet, Inc. Dr. Weinstein has played a vital role in guiding RIFM through many significant scientific and organizational milestones since he became Chair in 2021.
Joining Stark is Susanne Kettler from dsm-Firmenich as Vice Chair, bringing her extensive experience and leadership skills to support the Institute's strategic initiatives. In addition, Veronique Scailteur from Chanel SA will be serving as Secretary, enhancing RIFM's governance with her comprehensive industry knowledge.
Furthermore, the Board welcomes Catherine Gadras from Robertet, Inc., who will continue to promote the company's dedication to fragrance safety science. On board as well is Joris Theewis from IFF, bringing his regulatory expertise to further bolster innovation in fragrance safety.
Additionally, Jeremy Compton from Givaudan Suisse SA joins the Board to succeed Maurizio Volpi and contribute his leadership in pursuing RIFM's mission. Felix Klug from BASF is another noteworthy addition, succeeding Thilo Bischoff, and contributing his knowledge towards advancing research on fragrance safety.
